Phosphorus Fractions in Temperate Grassland Soils and Their Interactions with Agronomic P Tests

چکیده
Phosphorus (P) is a major nutrient for plant growth and animal health, its availability in soil influenced by agronomic management properties. This study examined the distribution of labile non-labile P fractions grassland properties that influence their temperate grasslands. Eleven were identified as, (H2O.P NaHCO3.P), moderately (NaOH.P) non-available (NaOH.P, HCl.P residual P). The P, organic (NaOH.Po) inorganic (NaOH.Pi) comprised 38%, 24% 15% total (TP), respectively. (Po) associated with extractable Fe, NaOH.Pi fraction was Al. Agronomic reagents (Morgan’s Mehlich3) targeted specific based on affinity different elements. Morgan’s Ca high soils, overestimated plant-available extracting Ca.P forms (HCl.P). Mehlich3 test showed preference Al.P oxides. indicates reagent, which provides wider suite elements such as Ca, Al will suit better indicator dynamics improved advice to farmers. inclusion additional chemico-physical characteristics would improve testing, benefitting farmers’ advice.

Phosphorus speciation in temperate basaltic grassland soils by solution 31P NMR spectroscopy
Phosphorus (P) speciation in 21 basaltic and four non-basaltic Irish grassland soils was determined by NaOH–EDTA extraction and P NMR spectroscopy. Organic P in basaltic soils ranged between 30 and 697 mg P kg 1 and consisted of phosphate monoesters (84–100%), DNA (0–16%) and phosphonates (0–5%). Inorganic P was mainly phosphate (83–100%) with small concentrations of pyrophosphate (0–17%). Phos...

This study examined the concentration of organic and inorganic phosphorus in surface soils of a Bouteloua gracilis-Bouteloua eriopoda grassland, and a Larrea tridentata shrubland, in the northern Chihuahuan Desert, New Mexico, USA. In this desert where the grassland vegetation has a uniform spatial distribution and individual shrubs have a patchy spatial distribution across the landscape, veget...
متن کاملRelease potential of phosphorus in Florida sandy soils in relation to phosphorus fractions and adsorption capacity.
Information on P release potential in relation to labile P and P fractions in sandy soils is limited. In this study, P release potential was determined by leaching, and labile P, soil P fractionation, and P adsorption capacity were measured in the laboratory using 96 Florida sandy soil samples to evaluate the relationship between P release in water and soil P status. The sandy soils had a very ...
